Setup Guide

Four steps to launch.

Follow the steps below in order. Total setup time: about 5 minutes, most of which is waiting for the driver installer.

Drivers

Install the recommended NVIDIA driver.

Sentinel is built against a specific NVIDIA driver version for maximum compatibility with our stream-privacy features. Newer drivers work but are not officially supported — if you have issues, roll back to the recommended version.

Already on a newer driver? Try Sentinel first — if you hit issues, come back and downgrade to the linked version.

Windhawk

Install Windhawk + the Shadowplay anti-disable mod.

Windhawk is a free, open-source Windows customization tool. A community mod called Shadowplay anti disable stops your clip recording from being disabled while Sentinel is running.

  1. Install Windhawk from the link above (it installs like any other app).
  2. Open Windhawk after installation completes.
  3. Click Explore in the sidebar.
  4. In the search box, type Shadowplay anti disable.
  5. Click the matching result → Details → Install.
  6. Leave Windhawk running in the background — that's it.

Download Sentinel

Grab your loader from the delivery email.

After you complete checkout, your license key and a private download link are emailed to you and shown on the order confirmation page.

The download link is signed and rate-limited (5 downloads per 24 hours per key), so keep it somewhere safe. If you lose it, open a ticket in our Discord and staff can reissue.

Activate

Run the loader, paste your key.

Launch the file you downloaded. When prompted, paste your license key exactly as it appears in your email (no extra spaces). Sentinel loads and you're done.

First launch may take a few seconds — subsequent launches are nearly instant.

Troubleshooting

Common issues.

The loader won't launch.

Add an exclusion for your downloads folder in Windows Defender (and any third-party antivirus). Re-download and try again.

My license key is rejected.

Double-check the key is copied exactly — no leading or trailing spaces. If it still fails, your subscription may have expired. Check your order status on the Sentinel storefront or Discord.

My clips are still being disabled.

Open Windhawk → confirm the Shadowplay anti disable mod shows status Enabled. If not, click it and re-enable. Restart your PC after enabling if it's a fresh install.

Anything else.
